"I came to Mission Vet Urgent Care earlier this week with a sick cat (gastric) who hadn't improved after regular vet visit. My vet couldn't see her urgently without keeping her all day so they recommended Mission Vet. Absolutely fantastic experience in a stressful situation.1. Most important - it was an effective visit. The medications they gave me calmed down the worst of the symptoms.2. I called about 3 times over the weekend - going in, not going in (she's better), going in (she's not better). Every time I called they were great about it. I felt like we knew each other by the time I went in.3. It is easy to obtain an"appointment"on their website (rough appointment - kind of like"call ahead to get in line"restaurant reservations) but when they do give you the 30 minute heads up you know you are a go for that time.4. They are VERY clear about what they do and what it costs.5. Dr. Summe engaged in a TWO-WAY CONVERSATION with me about her thoughts and next steps. I felt like she had all the time in the world to answer my questions and give me and my cat options. Of course she did NOT have"all the time in the world"but it felt like it and that's a gift. She also, as it turned out from a subsequent ultrasound elsewhere (Mission Vet does not do those), was clinically 100% correct about the likely two possible causes.6. The team gave my cat her first round of meds so once I got her home she had some peace for the rest of the day. That was a nice touch! My vet does that. Others, I discovered, do not."
