Insurance Options

Pet insurance works well in cases of injury and illness. Pet insurance premiums are typically paid on a monthly basis and can be used to help offset some of your pet’s treatment costs.

When using pet insurance, payment is due when services are rendered and then your insurance company will reimburse you if applicable.

Trupanion Direct Pay Accepted at Mission Vet Urgent Care

At Mission Vet Urgent Care, we proudly accept Trupanion's VetDirect Pay™ program. Unlike most pet insurance companies that require you to pay the full bill upfront and wait for reimbursement, Trupanion can often pay eligible expenses directly to our hospital at the time of checkout.

How Does It Work?

  1. Your pet receives the care they need.
  2. Our team submits the invoice directly through Trupanion's system.
  3. Trupanion reviews the claim in real time.
  4. If the expenses are eligible under your policy, Trupanion pays their portion directly to Mission Vet Urgent Care.
  5. You pay only your portion of the bill, which may include your deductible, co-pay, exam fee, and any non-covered services.

"I was very pleased with the care provided here, the friendly staff and the clean and calm environment. They were able to resolve my pet's issue and provide the needed medication. I felt that they did try to over prescribe for the issue at hand. For an ear infection they wanted to give antibiotic drops, which I was ok with but then also were wanting to give a steroid and oral antibiotics as well. We just wanted the drops and my cat was already feeling better after one dose. We had scheduled a 10:10 appt and arrived at 10:08 but there were many walk ins that must have arrived at 10 when they opened, so we waited an hour and twenty minutes before the doctor saw us. This happens sometimes due to them being an emergency vet, which I understand, I am just mentioning it for future reference for others to know you may still have a long wait even if you reserve an appointment time online. Overall I was very satisfied with our experience and would return for future emergency needs."
