Insurance Options
Pet insurance works well in cases of injury and illness. Pet insurance premiums are typically paid on a monthly basis and can be used to help offset some of your pet’s treatment costs.
When using pet insurance, payment is due when services are rendered and then your insurance company will reimburse you if applicable.
If you're looking for a pet insurance provider, we suggest checking out Trupanion, ASPCA Pet Insurance, Nationwide Pet Insurance, PetPlan, or Pawlicy Advisor.
CareCredit
CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed to help you pay for your pet’s health and wellness over time instead of having to pay for everything all at once.
Your CareCredit card can be used for a variety of veterinary procedures, including:
- Exams
- Spay and neutering
- Dental cleaning
- Parasite control and prevention
- Medication
- Vaccinations
- Surgical procedures
- And more

Trupanion
Trupanion Direct Pay Accepted at Mission Vet Urgent Care
Less Stress. Less Waiting. More Focus on Your Pet.
At Mission Vet Urgent Care, we proudly accept Trupanion's VetDirect Pay™ program. Unlike most pet insurance companies that require you to pay the full bill upfront and wait for reimbursement, Trupanion can often pay eligible expenses directly to our hospital at the time of checkout.
How Does It Work?
- Your pet receives the care they need.
- Our team submits the invoice directly through Trupanion's system.
- Trupanion reviews the claim in real time.
- If the expenses are eligible under your policy, Trupanion pays their portion directly to Mission Vet Urgent Care.
- You pay only your portion of the bill, which may include your deductible, co-pay, exam fee, and any non-covered services.
What Does This Mean for You?
- Lower out-of-pocket costs at the time of your visit
- No waiting days or weeks for reimbursement
- Faster claim processing
- Greater peace of mind during unexpected emergencies
- The ability to focus on your pet's care instead of the financial logistics
Important Things to Know
- Direct Pay is available for pets that are actively enrolled with Trupanion.
- Coverage depends on your individual policy and the condition being treated.
- Exam fees, deductibles, co-insurance amounts, and non-covered services may still be your responsibility.
- Our team is happy to help verify eligibility and answer questions during your visit.
Have Questions?
If your pet is insured through Trupanion or you're considering pet insurance, let our team know when you arrive. We'll help determine whether VetDirect Pay can be used for your visit and guide you through the process.
"My dog got an unexpected laceration on his side, I contacted my vet and they said unfortunately his cut was too big and he had to go to the emergency vet. I was then recommended Missions Vet Urgent Care from a friend. The incident happened around 1:30 and I was able to schedule him an appointment online for 2:40 pm. When I got there the wait was not long. They gave him a dog bed to lay on in the waiting room and exam room. Every single staff member was so great, not just with my dog but with me! My dog is a rescue who is very anxious and scared, sometimes it's hard for him to warm up to people, especially in high stress situations. However, he did great when I was in the exam room with him and they all told me how sweet of a boy he was and how he gave them no problems when they took him back for surgery. i think the speaks volumes on how great the staff was for my dog to behave so well with them even though he was scared, they made him feel safe and comfortable. They were upfront with the cost and gave clear aftercare instructions. They even texted me the day after to check in on him which meant so much to me. All emergency vet trips are going to be expensive but it is all worth it when you know your animals are in great hands! 10/10 recommend Missions! Here is a picture of my boy after we got home (we bought the surgery outfit from our local pet store so he doesn't have to wear the cone 24/7)."
